VCV Rack 2.6 released
VCV Rack 2.6 Free and Pro have been released, including UI translations into:
- German
- Spanish
- French
- Italian
- Chinese (Simplified)
- Japanese
This release also brings several new features and bug fixes.
Dragging multiple cables

You can now drag multiple cables simultaneously, in order to move a stack of plugs from one port to another. Right-click a port and drag the All cables menu item.
The stack order of plugs has been fixed, guaranteeing that the last-dropped plug is always the top of the stack, like real stacking plugs.
New viewport settings
We’ve added a menu item View > Zoom to fit modules (F4) that puts your entire patch in view. Right-click a module and select Zoom to fit (Ctrl+F4) to maximize it in view, for focused parameter-tuning.
Use the View > Mouse wheel setting to make the mouse wheel zoom instead of scroll the viewport.
If VCV Rack’s interface text is too small or large, you can now set View > UI scale from 100% to 300%.
See Rack’s changelog for a list of all changes since version 2.6.0.
We have begun VCV Rack 3 development. Stay tuned for future news!
